During this 3-day cycling arrangement, you’ll cycle from hotel to hotel through the Achterhoek landscape. The route will take you through the Winterswijk National Landscape, where you can immerse yourself in the typical coulisse landscape and explore nature reserves with rare wildlife and plants. Continue your adventure along characteristic church paths, past castles, and through ancient fortified towns – the sights are truly breathtaking!

Stay in unique accommodations

You’ll spend your nights in two hotels, both housed in historic buildings. Experience a nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of school days at Oldschool Hotel in Winterswijk, and indulge in a contemporary boutique hotel setting at Villa Wanrooy in Doetinchem. Each evening, enjoy a delightful culinary dinner, followed by a delicious breakfast spread each morning. The two walking routes take you through diverse landscapes, including forests, wetlands and nature reserves, past waterways and historic buildings. Along the way, you’ll explore the medieval fortified town of Bredevoort and experience the distinctive nature and history of the Achterhoek region.

You’ll stay in two special hotels: Oldschool Hotel in Winterswijk, housed in a beautifully converted former school, and Boutique Hotel De Heerlyckheid in the historic centre of Bredevoort. After a day of walking, you can look forward to a delicious dinner, followed by a hearty breakfast the next morning. With two scenic walking routes and luggage transport between the hotels taken care of, all you need to do is enjoy the walk and the beautiful Achterhoek countryside!
